Where Is The Love?

Mixed media on a cradled panel
16"x16", 2021. #1606

While painting this, I found myself listening to 'Where Is the Love?' by the Black Eyed Peas.

After a long COVID year and eighteen months filled with the weight of BLM,

Asian hate crimes, and senseless violence,

I felt a deep longing for peace.

It might sound like a '60s cliché, but 'love and peace' is the truth I want to live by.

This piece is my hope for a world where we can finally live together in harmony.
