Never Ending Monday

I created a series of paintings based on Eric Carle’s "The Very Hungry Caterpillar".

While my 'Monday' painting was a literal tribute to the caterpillar's apple,

this work uses those same apples to express a different feeling.

I was thinking about the concept of a Blue Monday

— using the fruit to symbolize the bittersweet start of a new week.
